A third daily A380 flight has been added by Emirates to its Gatwick Airport operations. As the holiday season approaches, the airline is scaling up its UK operations to meet sustained demand. As the carrier continues to deliver solid operational and financial results, Air Arabia announced record financial results for the third quarter ending 30th September, 2022. Compared to AED209 million in the corresponding third quarter of 2021, Air Arabia’s net profit for the third quarter of 2022 increased by 99 percent to AED416 million. The first Etihad Airways flight to use Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) supplied by ITOCHU Corporation and NESTE took off from Tokyo Narita airport today. The pioneering flight, flight EY877, took off from Tokyo Narita at 1500. This was the result of a partnership in which ITOCHU provided Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel to Etihad, the national airline of the United Emirates. In a bid to bolster Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia has entered the race to attract wealthy global citizens for long-term stays, Bloomberg reports. In a new regulation issued Tuesday, those with US$130,000 in their bank accounts are eligible for a “second home visa” of five years or 10 years. There were no injuries reported on Korean Air Co.’s flight KE631 that overran the runway during landing at Cebu International Airport in the Philippines on Monday. Yonhap reported that Korean Air expressed sincere regret as safety is always its top priority. “This incident will be thoroughly investigated together with the local aviation authorities and Korean authorities,” Korean Air President Woo Kee-hong said.
